# Guess The Password

> Crack the Password. Read the Mind.

Guess The Password is a free, browser-based OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) and psychological deduction puzzle game.

## Gameplay Overview
Players take on the role of a cybersecurity analyst cracking the passwords of fictional characters. The game features 20 levels of increasing difficulty. For each level, players are provided with:

- **Intel**: A psychological profile detailing the target's habits, traits, and life story.
- **Evidence**: Intercepted digital footprints, such as chat logs, social media posts, sticky notes, and search history.

By cross-referencing the evidence with the target's psychological profile, players must deduce the correct password. 

## Key Mechanics
- **The Hacker Toolkit**: Players earn "Hint Points" (💡) by completing levels efficiently. These points can be spent on tools like a Port Scanner (reveals length), Phisher (reveals first character), and Scrambler (shows an anagram).
- **Red Herrings & Deception**: In advanced levels, some evidence is intentionally faked to mislead the player. Players must use the "Validator" tool or sharp deduction skills to separate truth from deception.
- **Match Percentage**: Guesses are graded on a percentage basis. Wrong guesses provide valuable behavioral feedback (e.g., "Contains no numbers", "Uses CamelCase") to help narrow down the true password.

## Technologies
The game is built using React, Vite, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. It is a completely client-side Single Page Application (SPA) designed to feel like a gritty, retro hacker terminal.
